Michelle Decker’s career at Passport is a masterclass in growth, grit, and operational excellence. Over the past five years, Michelle has evolved from a CX Partner Associate to Senior Director of Operations, building and leading a team that now oversees Passport’s entire U.S. operations. Her journey reflects the best of what Passport strives to be: a place where talent is nurtured, creativity is encouraged, and leadership is earned.

“I love Ops because it’s like a new puzzle to solve every day,” Michelle says. That mindset has served her well as she’s built Passport’s Daily Ops team from the ground up. What started as a three-person initiative has scaled into a 30-person operation, now responsible for three U.S. facilities and 100% of Passport’s domestic logistics.

With roots in a family-run machine shop in Florida, Michelle learned the fundamentals of operations early. “When you have a small family business, you do a little bit of everything,” she recalls. From shipping and receiving to working the warehouse line, Michelle developed a hands-on understanding of how things move—and how to make them move better.

Her impact at Passport is undeniable. Thanks to smart automation, close cross-functional collaboration, and data-driven improvements, Michelle’s team has helped cut U.S. transit times by over 40%, dramatically improving the customer experience along the way.

Michelle’s growth at Passport mirrors the company’s own evolution. “When I started, we were very small,” she says. “But everyone I met during the interview process was passionate, excited, and ready to grind. I knew in my bones this is where I was meant to be.” That feeling has only deepened as she’s risen through the ranks, supported by a culture of feedback, transparency, and trust.

What sets Passport apart, according to Michelle, is its collaborative spirit and commitment to doing right by its people. “We celebrate each other’s wins, not just within teams but across the company,” she explains. “We don’t push blame—we problem-solve together. There’s no ‘not my job’ mentality here.”

That ethos of openness extends beyond internal dynamics. “Our transparency sets us apart,” she says. “We own our mistakes. We educate. Just look at how we created TrumpTradeTracker.com—not as a sales tool, but as a resource to help everyone stay informed during a chaotic trade environment.”

When she’s not building high-performing ops teams, Michelle enjoys staying active at the gym and exploring new hobbies—from loom knitting and crochet to learning complex games like Mah Jongg. She currently lives in Oklahoma City with her family but plans to return to Florida, her home state, in the coming years.

With stamps from Peru, Mexico, and Canada in her passport, Michelle’s travel history may be modest for now—but her operational impact has been anything but. Her story is a shining example of how Passport empowers people to grow, lead, and make a lasting mark.

“I couldn’t have done it without the team supporting me, but also giving me the tools and room to grow. Passport believed in me—and I’ve grown alongside the company every step of the way.”
