Passport Shipping
Give Loyal Customers Custom Shipping Costs
Want to give certain customers special shipping rates to reward their loyalty, or show love to first-time buyers? Now you can easily add Tags to your customers on Shopify to offer special shipping rules.
Here’s How it Works
- Determine which tags you’d like to use and what shipping rates you’d like to offer each applicable customer group.
- Reach out to your Customer Success Manager or partners@passportglobal.com for assistance setting up your tags.
- Once tags are configured, log into Shopify to add Tags to your customers.
Display Local Currencies in Explanation of Costs
Localization is a great way to boost conversions when selling internationally. With our latest Shopify update, Passport shipments will now default to showing the explanation of costs in your shipping method description in the local currency.
You can enable this capability by updating your Passport Shipping app permissions in Shopify.
Outbound Shipping from the United Kingdom
Passport Shipping has enabled thousands of brands in the United States and Canada to effortlessly deliver all over the world. Now, brands in the United Kingdom can leverage the parcel shipping service that makes international feel as easy as domestic.
With this, brands in the United Kingdom can enjoy:
- Reliable delivery to 180+ markets
- Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) and Delivered Duty Unpaid (DDU) shipping
- Priority, Express and Expedited options
- World-class tracking & visibility
- Responsive support for their own customers
Plus, UK brands can also leverage Passport Global: Cross-Border Management to enjoy high-converting localized storefronts, compliance wherever they sell, and reliable in-house cross-border shipping.
Create Localized Tracking Experiences
New localization features for tracking pages allow customization of banner images, text, buttons, and URLs by destination country or region, with default fallbacks for comprehensive coverage.
Shopify Plus Checkout Upgrade: Customer Tax ID Collection
Our new Shopify Plus checkout upgrade allows brands to collect customer tax IDs for applicable countries, preventing delivery delays and improving successful deliveries.
Shopify Plus Checkout Upgrade: Discount Codes
Discounts are key for customers but can lead to international customers paying more than necessary if duties and taxes aren’t recalculated. Our Shopify Plus extension ensures correct duty and tax calculations by triggering a new shipping rate request after discounts are applied.
Streamlined Workflows to Save You Time
At Passport, we believe giving our customers full visibility into their shipments and making it easy to work with us aren’t just nice to have – they’re essential for building trust. That’s why we’re making it even easier to find the information most important to you on our free Passport Portal.
Search & Filter Shipments by Milestone Status
Now when filtering shipments, you can easily find values in long dropdown lists with a new search bar in each filter. No more wasted time scrolling!

Print Multiple Bills of Lading & Shipping Labels
This one is for our 3PL partners and brands who fulfill their own shipments. Need to ship your goods to a Passport facility? Now you can create up to ten bills of lading and generate multiple labels at the same time.
Customize Shipment Filters & Columns
Choose exactly which columns you want to see – and drag and drop them to reorder however you want to build the table layout that fits your work style.
Save Box Dimensions & Ship With Your Own Label
Have your own label already? We’ve got you covered. Now you can share information for multiple shipments to Passport at the same time. Use the same box sizes often? You can save those too to eliminate future manual entries.
Save Filters as Bookmarks
With our newest update, you can save filters as a bookmark with a custom name for easy reference. Choose to automatically apply this filter as a default view or apply it instantly by selecting it from the filter dropdown.
Warehouse Automation for Greater Efficiencies
Speaking of Passport’s facilities – those are getting an upgrade too. We’re rolling out automation at our key sorting hubs in the United States to sort parcels faster and more quickly and reliably deliver to your international customers.
As you consider your peak season strategy, are you leaving money on the table by not providing the right digital and shipping experience to your customers?
Let’s help you have your most successful peak season.
“Now we have a full-fledged eight figure international business where we are spending money and investing in specific markets. And we’re seeing those results show up.”
